Saturn Girl uses her telepathic abilities to make contact with Umbra's mind, since she has been feeling very scared and desolate. The mental contact creates a massive backlash, forcing Saturn Girl into a comatose state, causing Umbra to flee in an escape pod with Apparition in tow, and making Kid Quantum and Wildfire unconscious. The mental contact also created a kind of shadow creature in the Legion Outpost that is mentally linked to Saturn Girl. Meanwhile, Monstress and Ultra Boy chase after Umbra and Apparition to the closest planet that surprisingly has a hidden city. Someone rushes out to attack Umbra, considering her a hostile alien.
